日本では古くから、蛙は“無事に帰る”や“凶事を吉事へ転換（変える）”など、外へ出た大切なものがもとに戻るや、よくないことをひっくり返す的な語呂合わせ的ではありますが、とても前向きで素敵な意味を持つモチーフのひとつでもあります。
御守りとしても大切にされてきたようです。
そんなカエルさんを他の作品たちと同じようにひとつひとつの工程を丁寧に手作業して生まれてきた一点ものとなります。
同じ表情や模様の子は二度と生まれません。

※制作ノート
フレーム作品のハナガラアマガエルは待ちの姿勢でフレーム内に収まるよう制作しました。
このコは少しだけリラックスポーズをとっているお茶目なタイプです。
平らな場所でも、関節の位置や角度、指の長さや広げたり握ったりする時のカエル独特の角度に注意しながら生み出しました。
「いってくるねー」
「ただいま！」
そんな一言をかけてもらえたら、この子はとても幸せだと思います。

About this piece
The Hanagara Tree Frog is one of the signature series from Nekonome Koubou, created with a special wish for the safety and well-being of someone precious.
I would be delighted if this little frog could be displayed in a place where the people of your home come and go each day, such as near the entrance.
In Japan, frogs have long been cherished as symbols of good fortune. Their name, kaeru, sounds the same as the Japanese word meaning “to return,” making them a traditional symbol of safe journeys, happy homecomings, and even turning misfortune into good fortune. For generations, they have also been treasured as protective charms.
Like every creature from Kamon Seibutsu Sha, this little frog is carefully handcrafted through each step of the process and is truly one of a kind.
No other frog with exactly the same expression or floral pattern will ever be created.
I hope you will give this little guardian the special role of quietly wishing for your safe journeys each time you leave home.
Perhaps this little one’s new story quietly begins the day it finds its forever home.

Creation Notes
For this framed series, each Hanagara Tree Frog is carefully posed to rest comfortably within the frame.
This little one has a slightly relaxed pose, giving it a playful and gentle personality.
Even within the limited space of the frame, I carefully considered the position of each joint, the angles of its body, the length of its fingers, and the distinctive way a tree frog spreads and curls its toes.

“I’m home!”
I think this little frog would be very happy if you greeted it with these simple words each day.
