秘密基地にちょうどいいガーベラっぽいお花を見つけたハナガラヤモリ

花模様を纏ったハナガラヤモリが、細くて長い茎を登った先に見つけたのは、パァっと開いたガーベラっぽいベッドにでもできそうな大きなお花でした。
真っ直ぐに背の高いお花の上からは、広い景色も見渡せそうです。
完全に登るのはまだまだこれからだけど秘密基地に決定のようです。
そして、この子のおめめはちょっと特別な色をしています。
好奇心旺盛な瞳で見つめてくれることでしょう。
見つめ返すと目がさりげなく合うかもしれません。
どんな角度から話しかけるかはあなた次第です。
ひとつひとつの工程を丁寧に手作業して生まれてきた一点もの。
同じ表情や模様の子は二度と生まれません。
お部屋の片隅や棚に飾れば、小さな物語が静かに始まります。

2026年個展にて発表した作品のひとつです。
ガーベラのようなお花に、それぞれの秘密基地を見つけた3匹のハナガラヤモリを制作しました。
個展で2匹はすでにそれぞれのお家が決まりました。
この子が最後の1匹です。
このコのずっとのおうちが決まったその日から、新しい物語が静かに始まるのかもしれません。
※制作ノート
ハナガラヤモリは視線やカラダの骨格、特に関節の可動域に注意しながら制作しました。細い茎を登る手足の指先の自然な位置や尻尾の位置、首の角度、また色々な角度からでも視線がちらりと合うような目用に制作したミルフィオリの位置や角度など。
ちゃんと家守（ヤモリ）として家族を見守ることができるコが生まれたと思います。

そんな一言を時々でも毎日でもかけてもらえたら、この子はとても幸せだと思います。
できるだけ実物のガーベラにそった作品にしたくて、花びら部分ももちろんミルフィオリにしています。花びらの中心を通る直線の筋はとくに主張する色ではないけれど筋が通っているから反りの表現もしっかりできると考えています。

The Hanagara Gecko Who Found the Perfect Gerbera-like Flower for a Secret Hideaway
About this piece
A little Hanagara Gecko, covered in delicate floral patterns, has climbed up a long, slender stem and discovered a large, wide-open flower that looks just like a gerbera.
It looks like the perfect place to make a cozy little bed and a secret hideaway.
From the top of this tall, straight-stemmed flower, the little gecko will be able to look out over a wide and beautiful view.
The climb to the very top is still a work in progress, but it seems this little spot has already been chosen as its secret hideaway.
And there is something a little special about this gecko’s eyes.
With its curious and inquisitive gaze, this little creature may find itself quietly watching you.
If you look back, your eyes might just happen to meet.
Which angle you choose to talk to your little companion from is entirely up to you.
Carefully handcrafted, one step at a time, this is a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
No other gecko with exactly the same expression or pattern will ever be born again.
Place this little creature in a quiet corner of your room or on a shelf, and a small story will quietly begin.
A small item for displaying this piece will be included as a gift.
I created three little Hanagara Geckos who found their own secret hideaways among the Gerbera-like flowers.
Two have already found their forever homes at 2026 my solo exhibition.
This is the last one waiting for its special home.
Perhaps this little one’s new story quietly begins the day it finds its forever home.
Creation Notes
When creating the Hanagara Gecko, I paid close attention to its gaze, body structure, and especially the range of movement in its joints.
I carefully considered the natural positions of its tiny toes as they climb the slender stem, the placement of its tail, and the angle of its neck.
I also carefully positioned and angled the millefiori used for its eyes so that, from different viewpoints, its gaze may occasionally meet yours.
I believe I have created a little creature that can truly live up to its Japanese name, Yamori — a “guardian of the home” who quietly watches over the people who live there.

I think this little gecko would be very happy if you spoke a few simple words to it, whether every day or just from time to time.
I wanted the flower to resemble a real gerbera as closely as possible, so the petals are also made from millefiori.
The fine, straight lines running through the centers of the petals are not particularly bold in color, but I believe these subtle lines are what allow me to express the natural curves and gentle bending of the petals.
